Bread Machine Hazelnut Bread Recipe

  • 4 cups flour
  • 1⅓ cups milk
  • 1 cup chopped hazelnuts
  • 1 egg
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 tablespoons margarine or butter
  • 2⅔ tablespoons hazelnut liqueur
  • 1⅓ teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Toasted chopped hazelnuts (optional)
  • *Glaze*
  • ⅔ cup powdered sugar
  • 1⅓ tablespoons hazelnut liqueur or almond extract
  • 2-3 teaspoons milk

  • Ingredients:
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • ¾ cups chopped hazelnuts
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 tablespoons margarine or butter
  • 2 tablespoons hazelnut liqueur
  • 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • Toasted chopped hazelnuts (optional)
  • *Glaze*
  • ½ cup sifted powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon hazelnut liqueur or almond extract
  • 1-2 teaspoons milk
  1. On a clean cooking surface, gather all of your ingredients. Make sure that your bread machine is assembled, with the kneading paddle attached.
  2. Add all ingredients, except what is to be used for the glaze, to the bread pan of your bread machine, as directed by the manufacturer. The bread machine will mix, knead, rise and bake the bread. When the bread is finished, allow it to cool for about 10 minutes. As it cools, you can prepare the glaze.
  3. Glaze:
  4. In a bowl, mix ½ cup powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon of hazelnut liqueur or almond extract and 1-2 teaspoons milk. Mix until you get the ingredients to the consistency of a glaze.
  5. Drizzle the glaze over the warm bread. Top with additional nuts.
Feel free to substitute hazelnut with amaretto or match the hazelnut amount with amaretto liqueur and almond
