2lb. Loaf Recipe
  • 1¼ cup dill pickle juice
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon dried dill weed
  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
1.5 Loaf Recipe
  • ¾ cup dill pickle juice
  • 1½ tablespoon olive oil
  • ¾ tablespoon dried dill weed
  • 2¼ cups bread flour
  • 1½ tablespoons sugar
  • 1½ teaspoons active dry yeast
  1. On a clean cooking surface, gather all of your ingredients. Make sure that your bread machine is assembled and your kneading paddle is in place. Have a cooling rack nearby, for use when your bread is finished baking. YO may also want to have a digital thermometer to check the doneness of your bread.
  2. Begin by placing all of the ingredients into the bread machine pan as per your manufacturer’s instructions. Remember, if you are adding yeast last; make a well with your fingers to pour the yeast into. This is to keep the yeast dry and inactive until the machine kneads it in. Use the Basic cycle to knead the mixture into dough that is elastic, with a little bit of tackiness. You may have to add water or flour to adjust the texture of the dough.
  3. When the dough is the right consistency, stop the mixing or kneading cycle. Select the loaf size. Bake the bread on the Basic or White cycle and the medium crust setting.
  4. To check the bread, insert the digital thermometer. It should read between 200- 210 degrees F.
You can add chopped pickle to the recipe to taste. If you like garlic dill pickles, add a little fresh garlic to taste.
