Bread Machine Oatmeal Bread Recipe

2 lb. Loaf Recipe
  • 1⅓ cups luke warm water
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cups bread flour
  • ⅔ cups old fashion or quick oats
  • ¼ cups packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons dry milk
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons quick, active dry yeast

  • 1¼ cups luke warm water
  • 1½ tablespoons butter
  • 3 cups bread flour
  • ½ cup old fashion or quick oats
  • ⅛ cup packed brown sugar plus a tablespoon
  • 1½ tablespoons dry milk
  • 1 ¼ teaspoons salt
  • 1½ teaspoons quick, active dry yeast
  1. Always star cooking in your kitchen by making sure that your cooking surfaces and utensils are clean. Gather all of your ingredients and make sure that your bread machine is assembled properly. You will need your bread pan and kneading paddle to begin.
  2. Remove the bread pan from your machine and attach the kneading paddle. Add the ingredients to the pan as they appear on the list. Remember, when you are adding yeast last, make a well with your fingers to place the yeast in. This is to keep the yeast drive so that is doesn’t activate ahead of time. Feel free to open the bread machine and check the yeast.
  3. Place the pan back into the bread machine, shut the lid and power it up. Select the Sweet bread cycle and set the crust color to light. You can also select the Rapid cycle. Select your loaf size and press start. The bread machine will take care of the mixing, kneading, rising and baking for you.
