Bread Machine Parmesan-herb French Bread Recipe

Ingredients
2 lb. Loaf Recipe
  • 1¼ cups warm water
  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 2 tablespoons powdered milk
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 ½ teaspoons sea salt
  • 2 tablespoons soft butter or olive oil
  • ⅓ cups parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped (or 2 teaspoons dried)
  • 4 tablespoons parsley, chopped (or 2 tablespoons dried)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh oregano, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried)
  • 2 teaspoons yeast

  • 1½ tablespoons powdered milk
  • 1 ½ tablespoons honey
  • 1 ¼ teaspoons sea salt
  • 1 ½ tablespoons soft butter or olive oil
  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 ½ tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped (or 1 ½ teaspoons dried)
  • 3 tablespoons parsley, chopped (or 1 ½ teaspoons dried)
  • ¾ tablespoons fresh oregano, chopped (or ¾ teaspoon dried)
  • 1½ teaspoons yeast
Instructions
  1. Before you begin, be sure to clean all of your cooking utensils and surfaces. Have a cooling rack nearby, for convenience. You may also want to have a digital thermometer handy, to check your bread.
  2. Start by putting the warm water into the pan of your bread machine. Slowly stir in the powdered milk. The rest of the ingredients should be added in, in this order: butter or oil, honey, cheese, herbs and yeast.
  3. Set your bread machine to the White or Basic cycle. The bread machine will mix, knead, rise and bake the bread. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes. Place the pan on a wire cooling rack and allow it to cool for another 10-15 minutes before you slice it.
