  • 1½ cups water
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 1½ tablespoons dry milk
  • 1 ½ tablespoons sugar or Splenda
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons bread machine yeast or 2 ¼ teaspoons dry active yeast

  • 1¼ cups water

  • 1 ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1½ teaspoons bread machine yeast or 1¾ teaspoons dry active yeast.
  1. Whenever you are using a bread recipe, use the settings that are specific to your particular bread machine.
  2. To begin, you should make sure that your cooking area and all of the utensils you will be using are clean. Have a cooling rack and thermometer handy.
  3. First, you want to add the water and butter to your bread pan. Then, add all of the dry ingredients, minus the yeast, to the pan. Settle the dry ingredients and make sure they are level. Try to get the mixture to reach the corners of the pan. Sprinkle the yeast over the dry ingredients, keeping it dry and away from the water. Close the bread machine, locking the pan into the bread maker.
  4. Program the bread machine by selecting your desired loaf size, crust color and bread type. The bread machine will mix, knead, rise and bake the bread. When the baking cycle is complete, remove bread and place on the cooling rack that you have nearby.
